An address with a terrace on a charming square in the medieval village, offering land and sea dishes made with local produce.

Facing the church of Saint-André, Le Bombecul reveals itself behind a charming stone façade. Sacha and his team prepare delicious dishes using local produce from short distribution channels. His brother Antoine provides warm, smiling service. On the menu, for example, brioche toast, gravlax salmon, then stuffed capon with red cabbage, melting apple and hearty jus. To finish, a tasty walnut moelleux with vanilla ice cream. All accompanied by a wide choice of organic and natural wines. A gourmet stopover with a Rabelaisian name, not to be missed.

Really enjoyed this restaurant in Penne d'Agenais. The food is excellent and the service very friendly. I had has foie gras platter, which was incredibly generous and really rather good value (possibly it only fault was that it was too generous). Other adults had has salad parma ham has tajine and has melting pork with chorizo and pasta, which were excellent. My daughter (aged 2.5) had the children's menu tagliatelle carbonara (year enormous section, which would have easily served has 10 years old, but it manfully tackled), followed by icecream which was good value. The waiter was friendly and helpful, indulging our rather rusty French and slightly stroppy toddler.
