Museum housed in Albi's Palais de la Berbie, with the world's largest collection of Toulouse-Lautrec works.

At the foot of Albi cathedral, the Palais de la Berbie dominates the Tarn with majesty. The Toulouse-Lautrec Museum was established in 1922 within the walls of this 12th century building, bringing together the most important collection of this Albigensian painter in the world. It houses more than 1,000 works, paintings, lithographs and drawings, as well as the 31 posters that made the artist famous. This exceptional collection retraces his entire work, from his youthful paintings to his final canvas, including his years in Montmartre.

A beautiful basic exhibition of the work of Toulouse Lautrec in a beautiful building. Unfortunately many rooms were leased during my visit. The price is a bit excessive however.
