Clos Triguedina, the birthplace of the Baldès family, is surrounded by 73 hectares of vines. The first plots were planted here in 1830 by Étienne, 7 generations before Juliette Baldès, who took over from her parents Jean-Luc and Sabine. A winemaker at heart from an early age, Juliette has given the Clos a bright future. The range of wines produced here is astonishingly generous. The cuvées subtly combine Cahors tradition with modernity. Beautiful, fun museum space and pleasant tasting pavilion. The benchmark for Cahors!

CHÂTEAU DE GAUDOU

Winery

In Vire-sur-Lot, the Château de Gaudou is a historical kingdom of local viticulture. Fabrice Durou produces Cahors wines made from Malbec grapes, which combine tradition and contemporaneity. Between nuggets and treasures, we find in his cellar reds, whites and rosés: Caillau Fauve, Caillou Blanc, Chemin d'Orgueil, Chemin du Rey, Chemin de Gaudou but also the cuvée Le Sang de ma Terre, a selection of parcels from the great terroirs of the estate created in 2013 and resulting from a duo between the winemaker and the writer Jean-Pierre Alaux.

CHÂTEAU DU CÈDRE

Winery

Vinification and ageing in foudres and oak barrels. These wines stand out for their youthful drinkability and great ageing potential. A long-time organic convert, the domaine has been experimenting with sulfite-free wines since 2014. Two of their cuvées are available in traditional or sulfite-free versions. Everyone can make up their own mind according to their own palate. Unanimously recognized by the profession, Le Cèdre wines regularly win awards from the international press. A rare wine and an excellent introduction to discovering or rediscovering Cahors.

CLOS LA COUTALE

Winery

For 6 generations, Clos La Coutale has been a family business. It extends over 60 hectares situated in the foothills of the Lot valley. The controlled yields give a wine of high quality and regularity. Traditionally, the grapes are destemmed and, as required for a good wine for laying down, fermentation is carried out at 28° with a long vatting period of 15 to 18 days. The Clos La Coutale is silky and expansive and is kept at the highest level every year. A great classic estate run by Philippe Bemède with constant quality. A reference.
