House converted into a cultural space dedicated to André Breton, poet and writer, and to Surrealist projects.
It's thanks to the association La Rose Impossible that we've been able to save this former home of André Breton, located in this wonderful Lot village where the Surrealist leader lived for 15 years after falling in love with its beautiful stones and medieval character in the 1950s. The building has now been converted into a cultural space dedicated to the French poet and writer and to Surrealist projects. In 2023, it was renamed Centre International du Surréalisme et de la Citoyenneté Mondiale, hosting exhibitions both inside and outside its walls.
