A cave rich in impressive columns, stalactites and stalagmites, extending over 350 m of galleries at Lacaves.
The Grotte des Carbonnières in Lacave is a veritable nugget of prehistory: discovered in the 2000s, it opened its doors to the public in 2018. Rich in impressive columns, stalactites and stalagmites, it extends over 350 m of galleries, some of which reach 15 m in height. Visitors are free to explore the cave with a booklet full of fascinating explanations about the life of prehistoric man in the cave and the formation of the concretions. The final sound and light show makes for a totally magical visit.
