DOMAINE VILLEDIEU - MAS DEL LUM
Martine and Michel created this establishment in 1989. The farm is wonderful: It is composed of a master house - on the door is the inscription year XII of the Republic (1804) - and many character dependencies in which rooms have a privileged view. A stone pillar hall - with a beautiful old-fashioned structure - and fournils - which still houses bread kilns. The set on the hillside dominates the Cele valley in a quiet and completely preserved environment. It is in a warm room, on a shaded terrace or under the hall, that Martine and Michel who stand in the kitchen invite you to taste their farm products. On the pan-fried foie gras menu, duck aiguillettes, magret Rossini, figeacois cassoulet… to finish with homemade desserts like candied fruit or floating island. In the summer, vegetables are picked up directly in the vegetable garden, with the treasures of tomatoes - close to twenty different species -, squash and pâtissons known and cultivated for centuries, spices… a bouquet of flavours.
