An exceptional nature reserve known for its high altitude lakes (more than 70!) and its hiking trails in a setting of peaks. It's beautiful but... touristy. Avoid August 15 if you want to enjoy the site in peace! Many itineraries are possible including the tour of the Néouvielle, from refuge to refuge, the massif has 5 of them, guarded in summer. To preserve the beauty of the site, but also to facilitate its discovery, facilities have been undertaken: reception, car parks, paths, toilets ... Created in 1936, this reserve is one of the first in France.
