Perched on its hill, this testimony of the Middle Ages can be visited with great pleasure thanks to the passion that animates your guide.

It can be seen from far away from the road to Prayssas. This medieval castle saw its construction begin in the 13th century. Less known than some, it remains no less intriguing, perched up there, as if alone in the middle of the valley. It was the former entrenchment camp of the protestants, it is today the den of Jacques Aurin, a rare and charming person whose passion for the castle is communicative : take advantage of his enlightened comments during the visits that he organizes !

Opening time and information on FEODAL CASTLE OF MADAILLAN

Visits are possible all year round, but it's advisable to phone beforehand. Open daily in July and August from 3:30pm to 8:30pm. From November to April, open Sundays from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, by appointment outside this period. Free admission for children under 7. Adults: €6. Children (aged 7 to 15): €3. Groups (15 people): €5. For schoolchildren: €3. Guided tour. Animations.

Chateau de Madaillan

Incontournable du lot et Garonne et du patrimoine national, l’histoire de ce remarquable château est racontée par Jacques Aurin son propriétaire / restaurateur. Monsieur Aurin est un homme rare, cultivé, passionné, passionnant et un narrateur dont le talent et l’humour de ses anecdotes souhaiteraient de faire durer la visite plus longtemps.
À ne pas rater !
