The underground Basilica of St. Pius X impresses with its upside-down ship's hull shape, measuring 201 metres by 81 metres, making it the world's largest sanctuary. With a capacity of 25,000, it was consecrated on March 25, 1958 for the centenary of the Apparitions by the future Pope John XXIII. This architectural and cultural jewel is also adorned with 39 canvases depicting various saints and blesseds, as well as 52 gems.

Interesting place, a huge concrete cavern under, in a "brutalist" style. Usually open during tgd day. Worth looking in.
