OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY BASILICA
The Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary was conceived as the pedestal of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception
Intimately linked to the vast architectural composition of the Sanctuaries of Lourdes, it is the element that forms the essence of its image with, in particular, the arrangement of the two large elliptical-shaped ramps in the axis of the esplanade. In Romanesque-Byzantine style, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, a vast 2,000 m² Greek cross, was conceived as the pedestal for the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, which sits above the Grotto. A monument of great interest, with Venetian mosaics covering an area of 2,000 m².
