ÉGLISE SAINT-ÉTIENNE
Church opposite the castle, below the lakeside village, a Gothic-style building with a carved wooden interior
From the lake below the village, Saint-Étienne church is clearly visible on the left, facing the château. This is undoubtedly the best view of Lauzun. The Gothic building replaced an earlier Romanesque church, whose portal is still visible. Inside, you can admire a magnificent carved wooden altarpiece, the high altar and the 17th-century pulpit, listed as Monuments Historiques since 1910 and restored in early 2010. A must-see artistic treasure during your stay in Lauzun.
