Space to discover the industrial heritage of the valleys of Gavarnie

The Pragnères hydroelectricity discovery area invites you to follow in the footsteps of the builders of the Pyrenean dams, to explore the riches of the "water harvest" which supplies the Pragnères power station, to study the operation of a hydroelectric scheme, to discover the engine room and to learn about environmental preservation, water sharing and the hydraulic professions. Thanks to this visit, you will discover the industrial heritage of the Gavarnie valleys and follow in the footsteps of the builders of Pyrenean dams.

Nous avons fait la visite avec Axel en famille (8,14 et 15 ans) et cela a été une très belle expérience qui a plu à tout le monde. Des informations pour tout le monde, accessibles aux plus jeunes, une visite des installations pour se rendre compte en « vrai » et une séance de réalité virtuelle super bien faite pour se rendre en haut des conduites forcées et sur différents barrages en hélicoptère. Axel est passionné et la visite a été captivante pour toute la famille ! Merci !

Merci à Axel qui a su captiver son public d’enfants et adultes. Malgré le plan vigipirate il a su rendre la visite attrayante. Bel hommage rendu aux ouvriers qui ont œuvré pour l’accessibilité et l’attractivité de la vallée.
À cet été pour la visite combinée, rando et usine hydroélectrique !
