Museum of natural history and museum dedicated to marble installed in the old thermal baths of Salut in Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
In the heart of the former Salut thermal baths, the Musée du Marbre is erected. Created by Jacques Dubarry de Lassale, it features 320 marbles, a hundred of which reflect the richness of the Pyrenees, from the Basque country to Languedoc. These mountains offer an unrivalled variety of marbles. The museum also features a scale model of the Haute-Bigorre region and an area dedicated to bats, visible through infrared cameras. A journey to the heart of the region's natural heritage.

C'est idéal l'été en famille ????.
Une exposition sur la minéralogie des Pyrénées est actuellement en cours, et ajoute un gros plus à la visite.
Pour les plus pointilleux, on notera cependant un manque d'éclairage sur les spécimens présentés, et quelques erreurs et manque sur les étiquettes descriptives....sinon il faut saluer l'énergie déployée pour mettre en place une exposition telle que celle ci. Bravo à ceux qui ont monté et mené à bien ce projet.
