BISCUITERIE VEDERE
History: In the beginning, there were two men: Jean Brau and Paul Védère, two lovers of local recipes. One bakes and sells traditional Pyrenean cookies, the other bread. It was Jean Védère, the latter's son, who decided to resurrect the flavors of pastries of yesteryear. And so, in 1950, began the saga that transformed the family bakery into a renowned pastry shop. Success followed, and the shop expanded by buying out Jean Brau's small factory, broadening the scope of their expertise. Today, the recipes have lost none of yesterday's authenticity and are perpetuated with respect for Gascon traditions. Patisserie is recognized as an economic and cultural player in the region. And the products are distributed beyond the South-West. They can be found in a number of Parisian shops. Védère is also committed to sustainable and ethical development.
Products and benefits: Located at the foot of the Pic du Midi, the cookie factory and its factory outlet offer a wide range of local products: pyrenean cakes (Petit Montagnard, boudoir, tourtes...), cookies (petits soufflés, cigars, gaufrettes, meringues, palmiers, petit beurre, pure butter shortbread...), traditional pastries (fondants, cakes, spit-roasted cakes...), Basque cakes, gourmet baskets and other seasonal products... at great prices.
