The Garonne River and its banks are a key part of Toulouse's identity, and offer some very pleasant walks... Your starting point is the Saint-Cyprien-République metro station. Walk up the Allées Charles-de-Fitte to the Musée des Abattoirs. Along the way, the Centre Municipal de l'Affiche boasts a rich collection of graphic art that is regularly exhibited: you may want to push open the door to discover it. To reach the banks of the Garonne, cross the Raymond VI garden to the Viguerie footbridge, then turn right to Pont-Neuf. Cross the bridge to the other bank, and turn left towards the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. The Notre-Dame-de-la-Daurade basilica and the Saint-Pierre lock punctuate your journey to the Espace EDF Bazacle, which marks the end of the tour.
