This arboretum gathers today about a hundred species of trees from all over the world with also a walking part.

Established in the Cardeilhac forest massif, this arboretum features a collection of around a hundred trees from all over the world, including a large number of oaks. Founded in 1913 as an experiment, it is organized as a formal garden and now covers thirteen hectares. Access is free all year round, but for information or a guided tour, head for the Maison de l'Arboretum. It hosts exhibitions, a nature bookshop and organizes numerous educational events.

Très belles randonnées à faire, au milieu de la forêt avec de bons chemins , le plus souvent ombragés.
Le parcours est plutôt facile, prévoir des chaussures de marche , surtout quand il a plu.
Ma balade préférée pour me détendre dans la région.
À pied , en VTT ou à cheval.

Belle forêt, d'autant plus en automne. Un chemin balisé à travers la forêt permet depuis le parking d'effectuer une balade d'une quarantaine de minutes. Parcours facile. Petit bémol côté arboretum, le chemin n'est plus trop identifiable, les panneaux avec les noms devenus illisibles.
