Discover a research center for awareness and education in Bessières.

The refuge is a research center open to the public, with the dual aim of raising awareness and educating. On a 25-hectare site of admirably preserved nature, terrestrial and aquatic turtles evolve. The ponds and enclosures have been designed to respect the natural environment of the resident turtles, which number over one thousand two hundred due to the large number of abandoned turtles. Discover their way of life, from the glowing Nelsoni to the stunning alligator tortoise. A great family outing, or more, if you'd like to volunteer.
