Marciac is a bastide known internationally for its Jazz in Marciac festival but also for its restaurants which live up to the gastronomic reputation of the Gers. A proponent of home-made dishes, the chef of Asian origin has a perfect mastery of the black pork of Bigorre and the fattened duck, modernising traditional cuisine with assertive references to world cuisine. Wines and Armagnacs naturally accompany the dishes because, at L'Arrière-Cuisine, the Gascon way of life is celebrated.
