This 720 m long structure spans the Lumensonesque valley at a height of 140 m
Upstream of Millau, on the A75 motorway leading to the sea, the Verrières viaduct is a landmark on the Paris-Mediterranean route. This 720 m long structure spans the Lumensonesque valley at a height of 140 m. With 22,000 m3 of concrete and 6,200 tonnes of steel for the steel structure, this structure required 360,000 hours of work. As an integral part of the Millau bypass, it is only 800 metres from the village of Verrières. Its fame suffers, today, from that of its prestigious neighbour the Millau viaduct.
