HERMITAGE HILL
Hillside offering a magnificent view of Agen and its river Garonne, many paths, including the Coupo-Combo street to explore
The Ermitage hillside offers a breathtaking view of Agen and the Garonne. Popular during the Roaring Twenties, its southern exposure encouraged the construction of numerous villas. Several footpaths wind through the area, including rue Coupo-Cambo, or "Brise-Jambe" in Occitan, a well-deserved name! For a nature break, take a staircase up to a small patch of greenery next to no. 9 quai Georges Leygues. The Ermitage district is a bubble of nature just a stone's throw from the town center. A discovery not to be missed.
