Large gravel paths have been designed around the bandstand
Once a simple island that changed with the ebb and flow of floodwaters, a place for fairs and goods unloading, La Gravière became a park on the banks of the Garonne in the 19th century. Its name ("Le Gravier" for the locals) comes from the gravelled paths leading to the music esplanade. Today, it attracts pétanque players by day, night owls by night, and strollers curious to contemplate the river from the embankment and sometimes the funfair. The parking lot was completely renovated in 2023, facilitating access to the site. Convenient for visiting the city center afterwards
