AGEN CANAL BRIDGE
This 539-metre-long bridge-canal is an architectural feat offering a splendid panoramic view of the river.
At 539 metres, this is the second longest canal bridge in France, and is almost unique - only three others are like it. Built of Quercy ashlar between 1839 and 1843, it took ten years to complete. Offering breathtaking views over the Garonne and the Ermitage hillside, it's a favorite with joggers and cyclists alike. Its renovation, completed in 2016, added night lighting. It's very popular with the people of Agen for a Sunday stroll or a weekday sports outing! Café, bike and skatepark nearby.
