NOTRE-DAME-DU-BOURG CHURCH
Church of intermediate style between the Romanesque and Gothic art which is located in Agen
Originally a 13th-century chapel, this small church subtly blends Romanesque and Gothic art. Its bell-wall, recognizable by its typically Toulousian red bricks, asserts its regional character. In the past, the ground was level with the entrance, but the flooding of the Garonne gradually raised the town, leaving the church a few steps lower. Its forecourt opens onto a beautiful terrace, ideal for enjoying the surroundings. A pleasant detour.
