In 1634, a certain Mr Gayau bought printing equipment in this place. The place was therefore devoted to an avant-garde activity. Later, his successors innoveront by adding a bookstore… It was the city's first bookstore, it is now the oldest. In 1938 it will be owned by the Quesseveur family. Tradition reigns in this trade. Ask the book that you know hard to find, you have 9 out of 10 chances of finding it here… and at reasonable prices.
