Tourist information office of Camarès presenting the must-sees of the Rougier, open all year long.
The Rougier is the last retreat of the Massif Central, a land of hills cut into bright red sandstone, of which Camarès remains the "capital". At its feet, the Dourdou river cuts the village in two and requires a passage on the old bridge to cross this village, which was an important industrial centre for textile production. All around, the area is full of nuggets: Montaigut Castle, Sylvanès Abbey... The tourist information office in Camarès is open all year round.
