A vast rectangular room with a wooded vault, the former Penitents Noirs chapel has been deconsecrated since the Revolution. Today, it hosts shows and rehearsals in a setting that is both intimate and prestigious. The French Baroque splendour of the altarpiece illustrating the beheading of Saint John the Baptist is enthroned there. The proportions and volumes are in harmony with a human scale. The chapel is open for guided tours in summer.
