The town hall welcomes you for your procedures. Senones, was the capital of the ex-principality of Salm. It was attached to France in 1793. Senones is located in the valley of the Rabodeau, a right bank tributary of the Meurthe. The Benedictine abbey of Senones was founded in the 7th century by Saint Gondelbert. In the 8th century, the abbey became an episcopal abbey. Among the most famous abbots: Dom Calmet who was abbot of Senones from 1728 to 1757. Nicolas Léopold, prince of Salm, built a castle and the second prince of Salm built the second castle.
