Guided tour through the galleries in the footsteps of the miners
The dukes of Lorraine began mining copper at Le Thillot in 1560, and black powder, a revolutionary technique for extracting ore with explosives, was first used here. The guided tour takes you into the galleries in the footsteps of the miners, to understand the organization of the site and to observe the pumping equipment that has remained on site for over two centuries after the mines closed. You can visit the Saint-Thomas and Saint-Charles mines, the Maison des Hautes-Mynes and the Rouge Montagne mine.

Nous avons eu la chance d'être un petit groupe de 6 personnes et le guide était super sympa et très clair dans ses explications.
L'endroit est très exiguë parfois, il faut limite ramper au sol, c'était très amusant. Peut être pas recommandé pour tout le monde quand même.
Prévoir des vêtements couvrant car il ne fait que 10 degrés dedans, et des bonnes chaussures.
La visite se termine au musée où on peut en apprendre encore plus sur la vie des mineurs, avec 3 petits films à regarder.
Super endroit.
