An imagery that has been diversified and modernized over the years, and which has now been revamped into a tour with touch-screen tablet.

It was in 1796 that Jean-Charles Pellerin created the Imagerie as we know it today. The Image is engraved in a wooden plate and the printing is done with a hand press, named after a certain Gutenberg. Over the years, the Imagerie d'Épinal has diversified and modernized its production. The establishment has been refurbished to allow a visit with a touch-screen tablet that will immerse you in the ancient and modern techniques of image production and those of stencilling and colouring on old machines.

Une visite obligatoire lorsque l'on vient dans les Vosges, de nombreuses images anciennes et modernes. Un atelier de fabrication que l'on trouve nulle part ailleurs, des explications très détaillées par un personnel compétent. Cadeau très apprécié en dehors de nos frontières.

Vraiment très sympa. Le musée expose d'intéressantes "images d'épinal" et la visite guidée des bâtiments historiques présentent les techniques utilisées. On voit les machines et le travail manuel. La boutique est aussi très fournit.
