Housed in a building of contemporary architecture, as evidenced by the grand circular staircase, the museum brings together collections from archaeological sites in the Sarrebourg region. It also houses a series of sculptures from the 14th and 18th centuries, as well as an important collection of 18th-century earthenware and Niderviller porcelain. Guided tours of the museum's archaeological collections are available for a supplement of 2 euros per person.
