THE CHAPEL OF THE CORDELIERS/CHAGALL STAINED-GLASS WINDOWS
This Gothic-style chapel owes its fame to the magnificent stained glass window created by Marc Chagall in 1976
Located in the historic center, this chapel was built in 1266 by Franciscan friars. Gothic in style, it owes its fame to the magnificent stained glass window created by Marc Chagall in 1976 on the theme of Peace, through various biblical scenes. Note, top right, the little round-cheeked Lorraine with her purple headdress! Smaller stained-glass windows by Chagall surround this monumental work. A charming garden completes the picture!
