One of the oldest squares in Metz, a trendy place with many restaurants and lively terraces on weekends.
One of the oldest squares in Metz, which owes its name to a hospital that has now disappeared. It was built in the 12th century by the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, known as the hospital of Petit Saint-Jean en Chambre. From the 19th century, many shops invaded the place. Today, there are about twenty cafés, bars and restaurants whose terraces come alive on weekends. This one is one of the trendy places of the city. In the summer, it smells of vacations and in the winter, with the Christmas market, a sweet enchantment.
