Center Pompidou-Metz, featuring temporary exhibitions and a rich multidisciplinary cultural program.
Located in the heart of Europe and only 1h20 from Paris, the Centre Pompidou-Metz embodies a major cultural decentralization, following the example of the Louvre annex in Lens. Designed by eminent architects Shigeru Ban, Jean de Gastines and Philip Gumuchdjian, this art center showcases contemporary creation in all its diversity. It draws on the prestigious reserves of the Centre Pompidou, as well as private and public collections worldwide, to present temporary exhibitions and a rich, multidisciplinary cultural program.
This year, the exhibition "Il n'y a pas de monde achevé", dedicated to André Masson, presents the work of this 20th-century painter through over 200 works from the world's leading collections. The exhibition, which runs until September 2, 2024, takes a chronological and thematic look at Masson's work, from the 1920s and the Automatism revolution to the 1950s.
In addition to the exhibitions, the center offers a variety of events in its studio and auditorium, from dance, theater and concerts to art performances, film screenings and lectures, providing an enriching experience of contemporary art.
Finally, workshops are offered for children and teenagers, giving them the chance to express themselves artistically and meet creative artists. Supported by Metz-Métropole, the Centre Pompidou-Metz remains an exceptional venue dedicated to contemporary creation.

Closed Tuesdays and May 1st. November 1 to March 31: open 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. April 1 to October 31: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Free admission for children under 26. Adults: €14. Group (15 people): €12. Flexible rates depending on the number of exhibition spaces open on the day of your visit: €7 / €10 / €14. Tourism & Handicap label. Audioguides accessible to the hearing impaired (BIM). Free admission to exhibitions for disabled visitors and their companions. Children's welcome. Guided tours (booking essential). Restaurant. Opened to the public on May 12, 2010, the Centre Pompidou-Metz is a sister institution to the Centre Pompidou in Paris, autonomous in its scientific and cultural choices.
The Centre Pompidou-Metz is conceived as a unique experience, a space for the discovery of artistic creation in all its forms, a place to live. Four to six temporary exhibitions are held each year, exploring a wide variety of fields: visual arts, architecture, dance, video, etc. The works exhibited come from the collection of the Centre Pompidou - Musée national d'art moderne, one of the most prestigious in the world, but also from many other museums in France and abroad, from galleries and private collectors.
Throughout the year, a multidisciplinary program (shows, cinema, conferences, workshops for young people, etc.) is designed in connection with the exhibitions.

???? C’est une visite incontournable pour les amateurs de culture et d’architecture, mais aussi pour tous ceux qui veulent simplement se balader dans un lieu magnifique et inspirant.
En plus, sa localisation près de la gare et des restaurants (dont mon préféré à Metz : La Piopa ❤️) en fait une étape parfaite pour une journée à Metz. ????️ Bref, si vous êtes dans la région, foncez découvrir ce lieu incroyable !
