HÔTEL NOVOTEL - METZ CENTRE ^{* * * *}

Avoid this hotel at all costs!

When we arrived at the hotel location we were greeted by a group of very intoxicated homeless people that were camped by the main front door of the hotel. They were there for the whole of our stay.
We then parked our car in the underground car park which has a sign for the Novotel guests right by the entrance. We then went to checkin where the receptionist was very unwelcoming and verging on rude. After checking in we went to collect our bicycles from our car, as were then on a cycling trip. The hotel said it would provide a secure lock up room for the bikes, however the secured lock up was hardly secure at all and was easily accessible so we decided to keep our bikes in our room.
When I went to the car to get the bike it had been stolen.
I went straight to reception where they could not be less helpful saying the car park was not there responsibility and run by a completely separate company, even though they took payment when we checked out for parking!
The room must of previously been a smoking room due to the smell and the brown outline on the wall of where a picture use to hang. The bathroom was disgusting with multiple cobwebs dust and dirt behind the door. The sofa bed was not flat at all and very uncomfortable.
The lack of service, compassion and empathy from the reception staff was the worst I had experienced in any hotel and I believe there must of been thefts of this nature happen many time before at Novotel Metz Centre.

I re-iterate AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!

Très bonne expérience : un Hôtel très confortable avec une équipe souriante, dynamique et accueillante. Un vrai plaisir! Bravo! D’autant plus remarquable que cela devient rare.

Schönes Hotel in einer guten Lage. Zimmer groß. Wir hatten eines mit Blick zum Pool. Im Sommer unbedingt die dunklen Gardinen zuziehen, da hier den ganzen Tag die Sonne scheint und es sich sonst zu stark aufwärmt. Ein Punkt Abzug, weil es nur einen Aufzug zu den Zimmern gibt und wenn das Hotel gut belegt ist, dauert es seine Zeit.
Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit. An der Rezeption sowie an der Bar.
Parken im öffentlichen Parkhaus möglich.
Außerdem klasse, dass es im Hotel Wasserspender gibt, wo man kostenlos Wasser nehmen kann.

Despite glossy reception, this hotel needs a refurb internally. The breakfast, although plentiful, had 'hot' food which was not hot, and the bacon was under-cooked. Could have been good value for money if that were rectified. Our room was laid out with apparently no thought that one bed was too close to a wall to get out, although there was ample space to rectify that, too!

Badkamer gedateerd, toiletpot zo laag gemonteerd, leek wel een toilet voor kleuters. Verf bij het raam kozijn viel er zo wat af. Smerige garage, rook verschrikkelijk (plasgeur). Locatie/buurt niet leuk, veel straatvuil. Geen aanrader.
