This castle was the place of residence of several presidents of the HBL
In 1758, Charles de Wendel, master of the Hayange forge, obtained permission from the Duke of Lorraine Stanislas to establish a forge in Hombourg-Haut. The castle was built shortly thereafter. In 1937, the castle was bought by the Compagnie Houillère de Sarre-et-Moselle, and became the seat of their Board of Directors. At the end of 2003, the municipality acquired the property and the castle now houses the town hall of Hombourg-Haut. Behind the buildings, a charming park of more than one hectare allows you to relax!
