The Saint-Léger church of Gironville-sous-les-Côtes, a village located in the town of Géville, offers a beautiful example of a fortified medieval church. Built in the th century, in a Romanesque architectural style, it dominates the plain of the Woëvre. The Gothic-style nave dates back to the th century. The steeple, surrounded by a wooden gallery, had a strong room. Machicolated and murderers indicate that the building served as a refuge during wars.
