SAINTE-MARIE-MADELEINE CHURCH
Church widely lit by numerous openings in the aisles and the upper parts of the nave and choir in Hagetmau
After the destruction of the church of Saint-Girons in 1904, the cult took place in the church of Hagetmau whose first stone was laid in 1884. The church Sainte-Marie-Madeleine is very well informed by numerous openings of the bas-sides and high parts of the nave and the choir. These openings are adorned with stained glass windows telling the story of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine in five stages. Other stained glass windows tell the story of Hagetmau with Saint Girons and Saint Roch: Saint Girons, evangelist of the region and his martyrdom, Saint Roch, and an end to the outbreak of plague in town in 1654. To see on the bottom, a tribute to Saint Vincent de Paul, an illustrious landais character. These stained glass windows are the work of the workshop of the master verrier verrier Gustave Pierre Dagrand.
