CERFAV allowing to discover the different techniques used and to attend demonstrations of glass blowing
Heir to a long glass tradition, the CERFAV (European Centre for Research and Training in Glass Arts) has been contributing for centuries to the creation of glass masterpieces and to the transmission of solid and multiple know-how. For the 2013 summer season, the Centre d'Interprétation des Arts Verriers de Vannes-le-Châtel opens its doors. 613 m2 are dedicated to the discovery of glass techniques, the history and heritage of Vannes-le-Châtel, and its human adventure that has marked several generations of glassmakers. The glass space allows us to discover the work of this material, the different techniques used and to attend blowing demonstrations. You will be able to understand the origins of glass in Vannes-le-Châtel and its prosperous development up to the present day. Discovery" classes are organised for young people. The CERFAV now has a restaurant and a brand new accommodation centre for the general public with 55 places.
