The Société lorraine d'astronomie is a major meeting place for astronomy enthusiasts and professionals, whether they are curious or in love with the sky. Located in the Faculty of Science and Technology in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, the association has a dome, but public observation evenings are often organised in the countryside to benefit from clear skies. During the major annual national events (Nuits des Étoiles, Science en Fête, etc.), the members of the association are available to the public for evenings of discovery accessible to the greatest number.

The Grand Nancy Métropole HB is the professional handball club of reference in Lorraine. The first team has been playing in Proligue (D2) for more than 10 years, the reserve team in National 3 and the under 18 in the French Championship. From baby hand to adults, the handball school is certified by the French Federation. The Red Fox, their supporters, attend the matches at the Parc des Sports de Vandoeuvre Nations.
