Town Hall, which housed a museum as well as the administrative services of the Toul town hall
Built for the bishop of Toul, this former episcopal palace dates back to 1740. After the bishopric of Toul was abolished in favor of the bishopric of Nancy, the former bishop's residence became a town hall in 1791. In addition to the administrative services of the town hall, it also housed a museum. In 1870, during the siege of Toul, it suffered considerable damage. In 1930, it was listed as a historic monument. In 1939, it was destroyed by fire. After some 35 years of total neglect, it was restored, and the new town hall was built in 1977 to take over its functions.
