The Grallet family has been distillers from father to son since 1895. So it's only logical that the Maison de la Mirabelle, happily located in the heart of the Lorraine region, was born here. The Grallet family, with its 25 hectares of mirabelle plum trees, is today what you might call the ambassador of the famous little yellow fruit and the Lorraine region. Here, you can learn all about the mirabelle plum with a discovery trail, projections and a magnificent sound and light show in the distillery featuring this pretty yellow-orange fruit in a brand new scenography. In a nutshell, you'll learn all about how Mirabelle plum brandy is made, from planting the tree to distilling the alcohol. You'll be able to share your impressions with other visitors at tasting sessions that are as convivial as they are tasty. You can then decide which product best suits your taste buds and buy it in the pretty boutique. A must at the end of your visit! You'll learn that the shop sells some highly original nectars, such as the famous whisky from Lorraine! And there's even perfume! Yes, you may not have known it, but the scents of the little yellow fruit are so rich and precious that they inspired Anne-Marie Grallet to create the perfume Mirabelle Unique... Amazing, isn't it? So much richness for such a small fruit...
