Halfway between Nancy and Metz, this city founded in 1251 by Thibaut II, Earl of Bar and Mousson, has grown over the centuries with an important reputation: creation of the first university of Lorraine in 1572, implantation of foundries in the nineteenth century… Pont-à-Mousson is also known for its sewer plates found everywhere in France! But it would be a pity to retain that.
