The old castle is a magnificent medieval heritage. Located between Longwy Haut and Longwy Bas, it is today a wooded area, which constitutes a real green lung between the two parts of the city. It has been abused over the centuries, repeatedly built and rebuilt following the conflicts that have shaken the city: it passed successively through the hands of the Counts of Luxembourg, the Counts of Bar and the Dukes of Lorraine. In the 16th century, the castle was considered the most important in the Duchy of Lorraine. An essential visit during your stay!
