Workshop-museum of clay, offering workshops for adults and children to manipulate and transform clay with their hands
The tile factory is no longer in operation but has been restored and transformed into a workshop-museum of clay, run by the association Les Amis des Tuileries du Limousin. The team welcomes young and old for a journey back in time to discover this know-how, the techniques used for the manufacture of tiles and the men who have perpetuated them. On site, all the buildings of yesteryear have been preserved: the dryer, the oven, the shelter for mixing the clay by a horse... Visit the old tile factory, the museum and even visit the old quarries on the serpentine moor of La Rousseille. Clay workshops for adults and children (possibility of "family" workshops) are offered in order to manipulate and transform clay with one's hands but also to understand its work and its use through time.
