PAUL REBEYROLLE SPACE
Space dedicated to the exhibition of Paul Rebeyrolle, one of the major painters of French art
If we know Paul Rebeyrolle (1926-2005) to be one of the major painters in 20th century French art, we know less well that he was born in Eymoutiers and that, for 20 years, an exhibition space of exceptional richness on the artist has been dedicated to him. Around fifty paintings and monumental sculptures are on display. The permanent collection, which includes one of his famous works, Le Cyclope, (in homage to the local and national historical figure Georges Guingouin), but also temporary exhibitions offer unsuspected artistic journeys in the middle of the countryside (monographs and artists of international renown such as Chagall, Ernest Pignon-Ernest...). In this space you will (re) discover the power of this revolted painting. The hanging is always superb, the bookshop has been enlarged, the reception is extremely friendly, the entrance fee is very reasonable. What more do you need?
