The Limousin was a high place of resistance to Nazism and the resistance were many to hide in the forests; in that of Boubon, the Association of Former Resistance Fighters (ANACR) of Oradour-sur-Vayres and Proposes reconstituted the caches. These are buried huts, which are carefully arranged. You can see them on the hiking trail, when you enter the forest by road from the Chapelle-Montbrandeix (D 22). The cabins are secure and open to visit.
