MUSEUM OF HEMP AND GLOVE-MAKING
Unusual museum to learn more about the work of hemp and the manufacture of gloves, organizes temporary exhibitions.
The Chanvre and Complete Museum is one of the small, unusual museums that can be found in Limousin. Animated by the municipalities'heritage association, space honours the region's lost know-how, linked to two historically important activities in the region: the work of hemp and the manufacture of gloves. For each one, you are shown the old tools and techniques. On hemp, explanations are provided on current applications (cosmetics, écoconstruction, etc.). Thematic panels, tools, videos, documentation, especially on écoconstruction, as well as a shop for organic hemp products. There is a temporary exhibition on a new theme each year. A festival of hemp is also scheduled for September.
