As unlikely as it may seem, an internationally renowned art centre stands in the middle of this island. Its iconic architecture, by Aldo Rossi and Xavier Fabre, stands out in the green landscape. The lighthouse offers a magnificent view of the surroundings and a building in the shape of an aqueduct hosts temporary exhibitions. The place is entirely dedicated to creation. Artists are welcomed in residence in the castle throughout the year. A dynamic team led by the enthusiastic Marianne Lanavère, the director, will help you discover contemporary art in a delightful way.
