The Journées Internationales de la Laine in Felletin is a true celebration of wool and textiles, with 140 exhibitors.
The Journées Internationales de la Laine in Felletin is much more than just a trade show: it's a true celebration of wool and textiles, bringing together 140 exhibitors from France and Europe every year. For three days, over 20,000 visitors gather at the heart of the Salon des Créateurs, a not-to-be-missed event highlighting the local textile cluster, with its wealth of traditional and innovative know-how.
The program includes company visits, exhibitions, conferences and textile initiations, offering a complete immersion in this fascinating universe. Discovery workshops run by the LAINAMAC training center enable curious visitors of all ages to learn about textile gestures and techniques, between tradition and modernity.
And the event doesn't stop there! Since 2013, Felletin has also been transformed into a huge knitting canvas thanks to the "Knitting in the City" operation. Inspired by "yarn bombing", this woollen version of street art covers street furniture, trees and public spaces with warm, colorful decorations. This ephemeral installation, created by volunteers throughout the year in workshops open to all, invites visitors to rediscover the city in a new light, while forging links between residents and visitors.
With its blend of tradition, creativity and conviviality, the Journées Internationales de la Laine will set the heart of Felletin beating to the rhythm of a living art, rich in history and future.
