This gorge is a natural curiosity in the Evaux-les-Bains region, overlooking the Tarde viaduct built by Eiffel
A natural curiosity of the region, the gorges contrast with the uniformity of the Combrailles plateau. Viewpoint on the Tardes viaduct built by Eiffel in 1885. By a narrow path, one reaches the gorges of Chat-Cros, also called the rocks of Bord. One discovers a Saint-Sulpician Virgin embedded in the rock. Dense vegetation of coppices of oak, chestnut, hazel and birch trees. One sees rocky columns very cut out between the foliage. There is a 6-kilometre signposted circuit. The site is classified Natura 2000.
